IPCA, Indian Paint & Coating
Association is one of the young and dynamic associations, which represents both
the organized and unorganized sector in the paint and coating industry. In
2004, in an attempt to improve communication and to coordinate industry policy
on matters of national and international concern, the Indian Paint & Coating was
formed.
Over the last several years
common issues facing the paint and coating industries have increased
significantly. While it is always a constant challenge for each individual to
manage the myriad of domestic regulations, it has also become increasingly
difficult to interpret the potential impact of foreign issues on our
businesses. IPCA is endeavoring to help out the people across the Paint and
Coating fraternity in making businesses better and more profitable. It is also
its bounden goal to encourage brotherhood and cooperation amongst its members &
the coating fraternity.
IPCA has been in the fore-front
of organizing path-breaking events benefitting the paint and coating industry.
Along with Technical Seminars, Regional Residential Conferences and Mega
Biennials (at Agra (2005), Kathmandu(2007), Jaipur(2009), Bangkok(2011),
Amritsar(2013), Goa(2015), Jaipur(2017)). IPCA has also organized technical
workshops with Certificate courses in Coating Technology cooperating with Colour
Society - Mumbai, IIT - Delhi, MSME, Government of India and IICT - Hyderabad.
IPCA often acts as a bridge between the academia, manufacturers and corporates
to impart knowledge through Training Sessions and problem solving. This kind of
core technical input from an industry body has catapulted IPCA into a different
league altogether.
The experience and wisdom of the
wise and experienced needs to be shared and not hoarded. IPCA’s goal of serving
the members and facilitating disbursement of wisdom and knowledge in unison
resulted in the creation of the series of seminars aptly named “Knowledge
Sharing Seminars” (KSS). Our regional bodies regularly organize these KSS
wherein topics are chosen on the basis of feedback we receive from the regional
members or our perception of need of audience or for that matter, an important
and relevant breakthrough in technology or new laws being enacted.
IPCA actively liaisons with the
Government for favorable policies for its members and the Coating Industry. It
is suitably represented on various committees like GST, MSME, BIS etc. It gives
regular proposals during the Budget making exercises o the Central Govt. in New
Delhi. |
